[Scheduled] Upcoming Data Center Migration NVME217

Starting March 11th we began to experience instability in the parent server that powers Our engineering team determined the RAM should be swapped which was scheduled and carried out the following day in the early morning hours. While doing so, the Raid card failed upon boot, and was also replaced.

Unfortunately, instability continued, and despite complete hardware swaps we've continued to experience pro-longed outages on that node, which are unacceptable.

Therefore we have made the decision to move this node entirely to our wholly owned Kansas City data center this weekend.

In order to carry this task out, we must swap the IP addresses that the node resides on.

If you are using our name servers ( and no action is necessary as we will also be migrating these along with the node.

If you are using an external DNS provider, such as Cloudflare, you will need to update your A records to the IP of the new server once the migration has been completed. If you have a dedicated IP address on your account, this will also be replaced with a new dedicated IP, which is what you will want to use for your A record.

To mitigate any further downtime, we've already migrated the data over to the new node, but we will need to complete a "final sync" to ensure all of your recent changes are applied as well as any files/emails generated since our initial migration.

In order to carry this out, we will need to stop mySQL on the existing node while we carry out the final sync (so new data isn't being written to the old node).

We have scheduled to start this process this Sunday, May 22nd at 8:00 p.m. Central Time. Based on estimates from our last dry run, the final sync will take around 2 hours giving us a target completion time of 10:00 p.m. Central Time.

In order to keep everyone informed, we will be providing updates on, which also gives you the ability to 'subscribe' where you can receive an email/text message as we progress. Additionally, you can follow that page throughout to monitor the progress.

Once the final sync has completed, I will be sending along another email confirming the new IP address(s), hostname, and any other details that are relevant to this situation.

We've been made aware of a possible service disruption. Engineers are on the scene and investigating the issue., a shared hosting node, has gone unresponsive at this time. Our data center team is currently investigating the issue, and we will post further updates as they become available.
